The Crucifixion is a universal Initiatic event that corresponds to a common symbolic meaning in collective memory. From an esoteric perspective, the crucifixion of Jesus represents salvation and his miraculous resurrection as part of a divine plan to save humanity. Crucifixion installation modernizes and reinterprets the traditional iconography of the crucifixion symbol with a hermeneutic approach. The skin, which had many holes, wounds, scars and defects, was presented by hanging it with hooks. Thus, the installation invites us to reconsider the body – together with all the traces on it – as a form of archive that reflects the history of the individual and the society.
