The installation marks the Reunification period in Germany. Since the space plan established by Kollektiv Plus is quite in line with the principles of communicative aesthetics and art in the public sphere, the work “Letter from the Other Side” aims to create experimental dialogues in the nomadic exhibition space.
The installation mentions the Iron Curtain and Berlin Wall. It asserts the fact that these walls still exist among different group of people. It aims to dissolve the cultural, ideological and communicative “walls” that still exist between the immigrant / displaced / exiled peoples and the local people.
In accordance with the instructions written on the wall, the audience is invited to write on the surface of the installation and flies it to the other side. In this context, the installation creates an interactive dialogue space, and everything spoken is recorded on it. Thus, all the different thoughts come together in one place. The installation is constantly shifting within the space throughout the duration of the exhibition.
